JHI provided facilities management as part of their property management contract. Effective
1 August 2023 we have brought this back in-house, to ensure we optimize the costs relating to
maintenance activities. This will enable us to leverage economies of scale for the portfolio and allow us to internally procure specialist sub-contractors per geography thereby reducing costs.
We are confident that this revised approach will extend the life of each building and maximize the return on investment.
The appointment of building contractors, professional teams and service providers, follows a robust governance process, something that was significantly lacking historically.
The implementation of these governance measures has enabled us to optimize our resources and we have realized substantial cost savings related to repairs and maintenance in certain areas.
